Pretty sure this is done with some CGI or something but damn it really looks like he shot himself in the hand. Can anyone explain how he did this?

It is done with a very popular computer program that is free. Don't know the name off the top of my head but just youtube "hole in hand"

Fake. When he walks over to the camera to show his hand his hand passes over the blood stain on the carpet and the blood stain can still be seen even though his hand is passing over it. Also there is no dripping blood or anything. A gun doesn't kick like that either. He also wouldn't have been able to react that fast to move his hand along with the gun. Should be a light splatter of blood from the exit wound, not an instant pool of it on the ground as depicted by Microsoft Paint. Flesh and bone would remain intact so there would not be a gaping see-through hole. Your hand would hemorrhage and curl up in incapacitation, not flatten out. Needless to say a normal person would be in pain and act accordingly. Try again and next time really sell it!

If a bullet had gone clean through his had, it would have left his fingers limp as it tore through the tendons and bones that control your fingers. Or at least left a useless claw, looks decent though.

Comment 1001 Sweet!: I'm a film school student finishing up my degree. I'm majoring in 3d animation and visual effects. This is a poorly done visual effects shot. The thing of it is that there is no moving camera so all that it would take is after effects and some rotoscoping to pull this off. Plus the physics of the kick from the gun aren't possible from a 9mm pistol. We study these things, plus the blood spray looks like it was done with photoshop brushes. Anyways, there's my 2 cents. .: ya its fake, but the blood thing is not what tells me that. His hand would not necessarily bleed really bad if he shot himself. How do i know this? because i have shot my hand with a 9mm hollow point before. While it did bleed it was not as bad as movies believe it to be

Im tired of crappy explenations: He used Adobe After Effects or similar program. Was standing in a green screen, and put green or blue on his hand, so it would show whats behind his hand instead of on his hand, added some sound and muzzle flash

fake: ok this is how its fake, 1. The pressure would cause his wrist to pull up. 2. The muzzle flash came out the front of the gun. The flash comes out the back. 3. There are nerves that go from the arm to the fingers, those nerves would be severed, causing the fingers to curl
