It's not illegal in the US anyway. We don't have the "Good Samaritan" law like some of Europe (thanks to Princess Di).

@mrfuckinchainsawThe Good Samaritan laws in the States is used to protect the Good Samaritan NOT to require you render aid. Any human being that can do something for some one should render aid. If in the US you do render aid and accidentally hurt or kill someone you will be protected from being sued or prosecuted for wrongful death.

@mrfuckinchainsawRwperkinsjr: I read about a woman who pulled her best friend out of a car after a wreck. Her best friend was paralyzed because of it and is now suing her. I hope that you're right about The Good Samaritan law here so that woman who saved her best friend will not be sued by that ungrateful bitch.

@TheZebManits actually illegal if you are certified first aid or cpr. you have a community responsibilty. but if you arent trained, dont approach a scene because there is the danger of fire, explosions etc. and your not supposed to touch the person either
