@Airforcefun Concrete doesn't have a very high sheer strength when it is that thin and has no re-bar or other integrated re-enforcement. There is no way of knowing what type/strength of concrete was used or how much water they added to it before they poured it either. Considering where in the world this is, I would suggest that they cut a few corners in the construction of that sidewalk.

@MyCatsNameIsFcukYou Concrete is very strong in compression, and weak in tension. Therefore, when a slab of concrete is poured, there is usually some sort of reinforcement. The structural reinforcement is usually steel, and is placed closer to the bottom surface of the slab.
