@Major813he definitely was wearing clipless shoes. They are called clip"less" because they do not have the old school over the foot clips. But I actually prefer doing my bigger jumps in clipless pedals because you have more control over the bike, not to mention you can get more air by using your feet to pull the bike up. just my two cents...

Reminds me of my grandma. She died doing a mountain bike jump the day before her 90th birthday. We were very sad as we had bought her a course of pole dancing lessons for her birthday and we couldn't get a refund. Still, Grandad took the course and met a lovely young man called Derek there. So it had a happy ending after all. I hope this poor man had similar luck.
