  Born & raised in Texas!: I do understand the comments when people say that there is no sport in this. But just curious? Does anyone know where this was and what kind of fish they were?

    @heartgardmullet: i live in texs n do this all the time, you can also just hang a white blanket up in your boat n shine a light on it and go down the river at night and mullet will jump into the blanket and land right into your boat its petty badass when you get a nuch of um

  this is illegal: this is a fishing meathod that is illigal in the U.S. The fish are attracted to the light so they jump to it. you can get these results if you do this is most places with a good number of fish

  just read!!!!: In survival training one of the things the drill instructor teaches you is if you are stranded in a boat or on water flying fish always swim towards light and there have been many survival stories where the reason the victim survived was because of the fresh water they sucked out of the fish and the meat...they are EXTREEMLY attracted to light you can catch hundreds if you are near a school...they were using light to go fly fishing because fish are attracted to shiny objects...flash a light
