   This is NOT the first. The Japanese did this over 15 years ago. (See the newest version of "ASIMO" and related bots they have now). The gait on the newest ASIMO is slightly different but emulates the human biped motion quite well. Also, it appears they are using a guy-wire rig. Nevertheless, very well done.
