      @Bigjon626Actually, the Russians were the first to put a human into space with Yuri Gagarin. The first orbiting man-made object in space was also sent up by Russia. I am not sure about the first Lego in space. I doubt this balloon went up 100 km (which is the definition of the beginning of space).

    the came up a little short. You wont get into space with a balloon. The Kármán line is the theoretical line of space which is 330 000 odd feet in altitude. But did we really expect Canadah to succeed?
