  unintentional: i don't think the guy was trying to backflip, it looked to me like he was just trying to fly the ramp but it had too much vert and made him backflip by accident, the same thing happened to me once.

  That was intentional: You could tell he was heading straight towards a wall of powder! We used to try all the most insane tricks that way until we could land them! You hit three or four foot thick powder snow there's no way to get hurt! I've come down head first 20 or 25 feet and not even get the air knocked out of me!
