F15 Strike Eagle In Max Climb

Video Details

Uploaded Mar. 16, 2009 by

This pilot films himself taking off in an F15e Strike Eagle and reaching 4 miles of climb in a matter of seconds. An untrained person would have likely passed out from the g-forces of this takeoff. The human body can withstand a pretty good amount of force, but it can't survive a constant g-force. For instance, a slap on the face could transfer hundreds of g's locally, but the cheek can absorb the pressure. Any sustained g-force of more than a minute above 16 g's can prove fatal, though.

This isn't the "PILOT" filming himself. You can see the pilot in the beginning of the video. This view is from the rear "wizo" seat or weapons officer's seat. I just wanted to clarify the title. Great video....

i hate to burst everyones bubble but heres the story with this video- this is not a pilot, navigator, weapons specialist or any of that, he is a maintainor who worked his ass of to get an incentive ride in an f-15e model jet, i would know, i launched it out

@DMW1234retard.. the guy in the back is also a pilot you douche.. he is the back-up 'PILOT' ... hence he has a pilot.. he just wasnt flyin it at the time

@DMW1234Fedjee, you're in idiot. only 1 pilot. do some research before you post your ignorant crap. I believe what jigsaw635 said, that he is a maintainer and got a chance to go up in one. This happens every now and then with crew chiefs, mechanics, etc. The would-be person in the back would be a navigator/weapons specialist.

Undefeated in combat, mach 2.classified, and an absolutely awesome aircraft. Gonna be a shame to see it retire when the F22 is fully deployed.

    • akdarksoul

      akdarksoul - 2 years ago

      @ccrr888im 19,890 is basically 4 miles.

    • Hissatsu

@ccrr888your an idiot obviously, there are no space shuttles currently that travel 40 million miles from earth, only orbits of the planet and to dock with the I.S.S., thats it... get your facts straight before you try to act smart & also yea 1 mile = 5280 feet so if you say 19,890 then you get nearly 3.76 miles.

well i am in the air force in the XXSDDDGGUYTRHKUG division and because of this i know that this plane in the video is a F-22 double x triple sow cow because when i fly my triple double BNJJH sixty to the grocery store I usually cant go this fast. Also if you look out the back window, the blue converter red banana manifold attachments are in clear view..so it cant be a F-22 or a F-2000 remix volume 3.

Apparently, there has never been a video about an aircraft or a firearm that had the correct technical name. Go make one if you want to argue about it.

Eglin AFB does have a squadron of F-16 fighters but this is not Eglin AFB! Its a F-16D aircraft that is TDY from Luke AFB 63rd FS. This guy in the backseat is getting an incentive flight and is a weapons troop from my squadron. Two incentive flights each day was given for the two weeks that we were on TDY. For all the noneurs out there, (TDY) stands for temporary duty assignment. Oh and this is Tyndall AFB for the record!!!

I'm in the US Air Force and i need to say something after watching that video. OK what makes you think its a F-15E and not a F-16? i didn't see anything that made that look more like a 15 over a 16 or even a 22 for that matter. and that's not the pilot that was some random guy getting an incentive flight witch is why he was holding a camera not flying the plane.

    • pollixx

      pollixx - 2 years ago

@broncoandxsvfanBecause if you look at the last part of the video, you will see they are flying from Eglin AFB. Home of F-15 test wing. I'm not in the AF and I know this.

    • meak13

      meak13 - 2 years ago

@broncoandxsvfanpollixx just because Eglin AFB is the home of the F-15 test wing it doesn't mean all they have are F-15 aircraft... and Broncoandxsvfan i'm not in the armes forces, but i do know my military aircraft. that sir looks more like an f-16...you would have at least seen either of the 2 vertical sabilizers of the F-15 or even more so if it were an f-22 being that they are angled

    • UncleSamWantsYOU

      UncleSamWantsYOU - 2 years ago

@broncoandxsvfanwell to the rest of us who arent in the AF, its an airplane. want me to get more specific? i believe this model uses jets.

@broncoandxsvfanit sounds like it makes alot of loud noise... and i dont know alot about planes, but i know jackhammers.. and they make alot of loud noise.. so in fact hes riding a jackhammer with wings.

    • kingadjon

      kingadjon - 2 years ago

@broncoandxsvfanDoesn't the f-15 Eagle have dual Rudders that should be clearly visible when the cam is pointed aft? I think it's an F-16 B or D.
