Dude Tazed For Not Signing Ticket

There are mostly good cops out there and they do an incredible job. This officer works for the Vernal, Utah UHP Office and tazes then arrests a guy for not signing a speeding ticket who only was looking for a further explanation. Not to mention I am pretty sure cops still have to read our rights which he also refuses to do.

Good job. You stopped the guy from stealing some beef jerkey and only had to smash an entire display of wine bottles in the process. Clearly, the clerk didn't do a cost benefit analysis before he jacked that guy.

Most states you do not have to sign the ticket.

He didnt read him his rights and let any of the charges be droped, it almost seems like the cop was just doing this to piss this guy off. But the driver would of had a better defense if he didnt get out of the car.

he shouldn't get a damn dime. it wasn't for not signing the ticket its for not listening to the orders! He was just trying to be a dumbass he should've got tazed. He argued non stop then went to walk back to the vehicle when the cop ordered him to put his hands on the vehicle. and the guy turns around and put one of his hands in his pocket if you watch closely. Cops read their rights WHEN they put the cuffs on. The cop didnt even get a chance to put the cuffs on. and the girl should of gotten tazed too for

I would love to find out who taught that little douchebag what gave him the right to argue with a cop on the side of the road. I'd even go back to his colledge and taze the modafukkin proffessors.

the cop wasnt perfect and he might get in trouble but you gotta admit the guy that was pulled deserved to be tazed, he was waaay out of line. People now a days just get away with and get pampered way too much to the point where they think they can just do anything and the world owes them everything its sad really. What prolly happened was the cop prolly was pulling over ppl all week with this attitude and this guy was the last straw.

@TyroneHollowayWhats really sad is you think the guy deserved to get tazed for questioning authority, and who cares if the cop has had a bad day, maybe the other guy did too. the taser should not be a cattle prod or whip for failing to comply to the masters bidding. The Taser was brought out to be used in place of a gun and possibly prevent death. now it is used for people that try to exercise their rights.

That cop really should get fired. He is too hot headed for this job. The first thing you do should not be to pull out your tazer! He couldn't even explain what had happened properly.

This cop is rediculous. The guy gets tazed just for not signing a ticket. He won't even read the guy his rights. This cop has some control issues.

i dont think they cop was stupid the guy was if u are given a ticket by signing it only means i promis to appear in court... sooo that means if he wasnt speeding he could simply argue in court insted of sitting there giving the cop a hard time as we see when u give a cop a hard time then he gives u one or 50,000 volts lol

I am sure  the driver did not spend much time in jail, because officer did not read him his rights. this arrest was not legal therefore both of them were stupid

      acaciastrained - a year ago

@Nightwolf777quit watching so much tv, the officer does not have to read anyone their Miranda rights unless they plan on questioning the suspect about an activity they may be involved in. People think they know so much about police procedure based on what they see on the television, go spend 4 years in school for law enforcement then you will know the truths behind police practice and procedure

Unlike the majority of people here, I can speak from experience. These are the issues that should be taken into consideration: A) He was pulled over for speeding, regardless how much over; it's an offence, even 1 Mile/Kilometer over. B) The guy refused to hand over license and registration in the beginning, and proceeded to argue. State law states if requested by an officer, you must hand over both, or be charged. C) He proceeded to argue along-side a highway, which is endangering not only himself, his

The driver is stupid. He already knows he was pulled over for speeding, regardless if he was or not, they argued about the speed sign. I love to argue with the police from time to time just to keep them on their toes, but you can only push them so far. As one or more commenters already pointed out. You HAVE to sign a ticket if the jurisdiction requires you to; It does not admit guilt. Now to the wife/girlfriend, whatever, do not exit the vehicle unless told to do so by an officer... dumb broad. I do got to
