This guy is a major hero. It's just so much easier to let your rights be trampled, isn't it? Thank god he has the strength to stand up and defend the constitution. This country, unfortunately, is indeed becoming a police state a la nazi Germany.

this guy talks about wasting his time when he could have taken 2 minutes to answer the damn question and show his ID. I think this guy was perfectly within his rights to refuse to prove citizenship. He stood up for his right against unlawful detention, right to travel and right against unlawful search and seizure all very politely. Random citizenship checkpoints are unconstitutional.

I respect that this guy is trying to stand up for his rights. But he should've realized that this country is dealing with a lot of illegal immigrants and these officers are just trying to do their job, which is to keep the illegal immigrants away. I live near the border of U.S. & Mexico and have been through checkpoints like this. I'm asian and whenever they see me I can just go through in the matter of seconds without having to show anything. They don't require him to prove his citizens
