The only thing this guy did wrong was to walk away without filing criminal charges against the detaining officer and or police department. This is an important movement and it must be done right. Police officers should know the law and not just make it up as the go. The only bigger issue than guns is the right to remain silent that most police believe THEY offer and only exists after they tell you that you have it. A normal person doesn't walk around with a gun slung out in the open. A man parading around with a gun is either dangerous to the public or a dick trying to prove a point. The officer did the right thing in stopping him long enough to confirm he was just a dick and let him go.

Even if that guy is 100% in the right (I don't know where he is so I don't know the exact laws), people who go out looking for trouble like this guy are just distracting the police from doing their jobs. If he would have just given them his ID they would have checked his record and let him go. Well, first off, cops DO have the right to ask for identification as well as the license for any concealable arm... second, it IS illegal to record police officers (especially without consent). The way he handled that situation says one of two things (or possibly both i guess): He is a major dick and just wanted to flex his knowledge about the law to a cop, or he actually had something to hide and that is why he would not consent to a search.

@nburton116 Seeing as how gun laws vary state to state, what is legal in your state may or may not be legal in his. Also, the man in this video's firearm was not concealed, as he was open carry, and third, yes, you are allowed to record an officer at all times. The police officer in this video was abusing his power and harrassing a man who was doing nothing that was against the law, and the man had every right to refuse search and seizure. Your comment only proves your ignorance.
@ first off, only if they suspect a crime has been comitted and are beginning an investigation. second, no, it isn't illegal to record in many states, and in fact sometimes even encouraged. thirdly yes, he is being a dick but he has a right to be a dick so legally the cops can't do anything.
