Without warning, without a warrant, without probable cause this cop busts in through a closed door to bust a college party in Denton Texas. Im no expert at the law but Im pretty sure this is illegal and this cop should be reprimanded if not fired.

     Amen to that, paralakz.....I too have an uncle, and a cousin who are cops.....that doofus had no right to enter a house without probable cause.....It's said that there are pukes that wear a badge that think they can arbitrarilly believe that they can do whatever the hell they want.....

      @MattJohnson7Or, asshat, the officer had no right to enter a closed door without a warrant. All he can do is hand out a noise violation, the kid with the camera is completely correct. I am a Criminal Justice major and my Uncle and Grandfather are both cops. The asshat cop can't just walk in because "it's loud".

The law clearly states any law enforcement officer may enter a residence WITHOUT a warrant if probable cause exists that a crime is being commited. Loud noise ordinances are in every city/state law in this country, look it up. Plus, having a door shut in his face furthers the totality of the circumstances that loud noise, college age kids, & drinking = possible illegal activity.       @MattJohnson7actually I agree with the camera guy. Whats wrong with exercising your rights. Are you a cop or something? A cop is not aloud to enter a household without a warrant unless invited in. The cop broke the law by entering the house & letting him self in.

    door: The guy keeps saying all through the video that the cop came in through a closed door. then at the end you hear the cop say "I don't need doors shut in my face." If the door was shut in his face, that means it was open. If he is investigating a complaint he has to speak with the people that live there. He didn't trespass.

      @cawpinactually the cop has reasonable cause to investigate a party for underage drinking if when the door is open he can smell alcohol. it happens in high school when cops show up dont open the door and they cant come in

      @cawpinNot to mention... they say in the video that at least one of them is 21. The office called the kid a dickhead, was very unprofessional, and broke the law. He should be repremanded. Also, it's not if he can smell alcohol, it's if he can see an open container in a publicly accessible room or window. Notice at the parties you go to the windows have curtains or black bags over them? That's why.

    Open Door Policy: A) Answering a disturbance gives warrant to full investigation B) Having a door shut on your face is warrant for reasonable suspicion under civil law and in accordance to ordinance, he had every right to enter the house. C) With a lack of cooperation from the owner of the house, he had the legal right to shut the entire party down. Sorry children, this officer is within his rights.
