You could probably care less about superconductors, but this demonstration is pretty cool and makes me think of many beverage-related possibilities for superconductors.

It's a property of metals when they're super cooled. Some metals can exhibit very strong magnetic powers when they're super cooled and can levitate like that. It's physics. People are trying to design them for a railway system, but as you can imagine its quite difficult to keep the track so cold

That's cool, anyone knows what you need to make this yourself? My french isn't to good.

@krikonYou need a High-Temperature Superconductor (The tube) and Liquid Nitrogen at 70 K (~= -200° C) and an inhomogenic strong magnetic field (Here, it was the rail)

Superconductivity its a true phenomenon of our modern physics, in my personal opinion the demonstrated video as shown is a good representation of the Superconductivity Electromagnetic Engine, or in short Anti-gravitation. Discovered by Heike Kamerlingh Onnes in 1911, I can see black projects working in this field with some amazing results for new vehicles, mostly known as the UFO publicly.

@Denu187please stop talking about things you know nothing about. this has nothing to do with anti-gravity. and take your ufo conspiracy theories elsewhere.

@Denu187"stop talking about things you know nothing about", sure i have no idea do i? i bet you just graduated from 6th grade and working at Mc Donalds... happens i have a PhD in Astrophysics so i obviously know more then you could ever know.

If cars did this, imagine the gas savings. Put a fan on the back and go. Now how would we stop? "Crash" hummmm. Need to work on that.
