Warning: This one is pretty intense, but very uplifting. Off-duty firefighters and neighbors became heroes after pulling a little boy from a car that had crashed, just before the gas tank exploded.

The morons have seen too many hollywood movies to make them think that cars on fire actually explode into a fiery mushroom cloud of fire, with the car bouncing many feets up in the air on explosion. Sigh...

I think alot of people helped but the true hero is the guy in the yellow shirt. When everyone was running saying it was going to blow he did not even flinch, He is the sole reason that the kid is alive right now. Hats off to him.

Lookup "Father of Family Rescued From Burning SUV Says Trapped Son, 4, Saved by 'Angels'" on the Fox News website to read about it, the baby is doing okay. From what I read, I don't know if the mother is the birth mother of the trapped baby, which would explain why she got herself and her 2 yr old out first before him :(

We view thousands and thousands of videos of the most terribly stupid and inept people, but seeing things like this helps reaffirm my belief in humanity. Heroes. (Well, some of them.)

Instead of telling people what to do and filming it... maybe you should help out..

There were alot of jack asses there that did nothing, they could have taken that child out of there much earlier if some of those guys had some balls, one guy yells i dont have gloves on someone throw him in the fire, i heard the kid burned alot of his body and was in critical condition.

My question is how the hell did the guy driving get his car sideways on fire in the middle of the street with a baby in the car?

    * Switch off the ignition of crashed, immobilized vehicles to reduce the risk or fire. (Cuts off fuel pump/system which can sometimes continue pumping fuel). A good ad to carry a fire extinguisher in the car, accepting even 8-12 seconds effective use of the foam on say a 1kg unit, so aim wisely. Mandatory to carry in some countries in EU.

@vavs33Yeah, everybody typically says "Someone should *do* something!!!" But there's only one person taking off their jacket thinking 'And that someone is me.'

As soon as I heard "we need a knife!" I pulled out my leatherman and had the knife out, ready to cut the belt around the baby. It's sad to see all those guys running around no having a knife.... there was even a bunch of broken glass all around them.

      parabolar - 2 years ago

@tricknasty87Yeah, try cutting a seatbelt with tiny pieces of glass. Ever seen a broken windshield? Use your head for more than a hair plantation.
