    @Manontheedgeits the batters job to get out of the way when something like that happens, if he wants to stand there like a douche, he gets treated like a douche. I was a catcher and Ive done that once or twice. I promise you they moved next time.

  batters fault: the ump explained it. if he stood still it wouldve been the catchers fault, but since he walked 3 steps back its the batters.

  THE RULE: the rule is that the batter caused interference. he should be out. if he steps into the path of the ball or stays in the box, it is automatically interference. we did this on purpose to get an out during games

    @H0bbezit has to be judged: as intentional interference if he hinders the catcher while standing in the batter's box - it's NOT, however, automatic.

  Jesus..: clearly some of you have never played baseball. If a guy is going from 2nd to 3rd, the batter should be aware and most often moves out of the way. Top that off with the fact that this was a passed ball and the catcher wasn't probably looking at the bag as he was throwing (after several years of playing, you can have a pretty good idea of the line without seeing it) he's just trying to get it down there as fast as possible. Jump the catcher? LOL
