  Sagan is a poet. I love Cosmos, I listened to his Audio book of Pale Blue Dot. The man is one of the finest ambassadors of the scientific and academic world in modern times.

  It is indeed fascinating when people assign significance based simply on relative size, quantity, and distance. It is the belief system of the mathematician and the astronomer.
