Ive got a 1944 boeing stearman. You have got to do some rudder dancing with these planes. The torque of the rotary engine is out of the world. I know in my plane....I use over half to full right rudder on take off. It looks to me that, He didn't use nearly enough. Less than 300 feet and into the wood line he went. LOL. By the way...my stearman only has a roll out of 100 feet and Im off the ground. Great planes.
