All of you saying that this biker deserved it are unbelievably ignorant. Splitting lanes is SAFER for bikers than sitting in traffic. As any biker knows, and as any MOTORCYCLE RIDING OFFICER will agree to, bikers are supposed to ride at a higher velocity than cars. It keeps them out of blind spots and going at a quicker pace to avoid collisions when they are in those spots. Splitting traffic also stops the clutch hand from exhausting while riding. And if those weren't enough, it's one less vehicle f

  @Daniel-Winters-659 Except for the fact that the car was legally changing lanes with its turn signal on. The biker should have paid closer attention. Also, in many states, the law is that 2 vehicles can drive in the same lane as long as they are NOT travelling more than 10 miles per hour faster or slower than traffic. Considering traffic was stopped, you tell me that the motorcycle was going less than 10 miles per hour.

I also ride a bike and this guy was going way too fast between these lanes, especially with the road being wet like that. I constantly ride up traffic lanes like that but I do much more carefully and at a much slower pace. This guy was begging for something like this to happen, and got what he was asking for...

  @tigerscar And your point, if I saw a biker riding up like that I would put my blinkers on and turn over as well. Easy to argue as the traffic was at a stand still and I just looked at the car next to me to see they would let me in. No way anyone would expect a biker there. Car wins.

you're supposed to use the brake down lane, but bikes are allowed to pass through traffic because they overheat if they aren't moving. he was going too fast though.

In my country is the same. Some bikers just want to follow their rules. They have a bike, so they think they have the right to ride like that. And they even think that we (from cars) have the obligation to check our mirror to see if there's a bike coming on the wrong lane. Maybe i learned the lesson.
