In the following clip these guys used combustion to expand the seal around the tire...If you look before the explosion you will see that the tire looks flat because it is separated from the rim...After the explosion the tire is seated tightly around the rim...The screeching is the air escaping as the seal is made and the pop is the tire popping into place on the rim.
