Funny post!: Funny post, but how does it "teach them" to not come back when you obviously had about 12 skunks and racoons come and visit you while you were filming all this. The catapult is just for sport...don't bother to pretend the animals weren't hurt either.

If you put some cat food out there, the animals will eat it and leave instead of going through your garbage.: Don't forget, Animals like this will still come back no matter how many times you catapult them. Their brains do not learn through positive and negative reinforcemnet. Meaning: Even though you catapulted them, they will still come back - the only way you can resolve this is by stowing your trash in a proper receptical. Catapulting animals is a little white trash no?

@mjscottoWell: Apparently you have never witnessed what creatures like Skunk, Raccoon, Opossum, Rats, etc. can do to a proper receptacle. Trust me when I tell you that it would take a very substantial amount of cat food to divert attention away from garbage cans; more so than the average person could afford. Also, you are very wrong about positive and negative reinforcement in animals. Do you not train your dog with special treats and lots of pats and pets and hugs and kisses and whatnot?
