These guys demo a prototype F1 simulator created by a European company. The simulator will soon go on sale for roughly 20,000 Euros which I think is about fifty bucks or so nowadays.

@TimBlarBlarIt's moving like that to simulate the acceleration forces from working the gas/breaks and losing speed while shifting. I've been in similar simulators (much bigger) and those big movements do work.

It's super super jerky, and why does it tilt up and down while shifting? That doesn't simulate a real car. They don't rock that much.

@Artwork56actually im pretty sure this isnt f1 i think its motogp as in superbikes and the tilting back is hime wheely-ing and the tilt forward is excessive breaking causing endo (stoppies) notice when hes shifting up it dips alittle between shanges.....awesome...... i want one...... furthermore i'd like to see hawx on this with flight controls
@Artwork56You know when you brake suddenly in a car everything slides forwards? That's inertia. Because you're not actually moving they have to simulate the force of inertia another way, so they just tilt you forwards or backwards and let gravity do it. Ignore NexusShadow, he doesn't seem to understand physics.

i realize that they're probably using paddle shifters in f1 racing, but a clutch and shifter would be a sweet option for other simulations. or how bout this thing with a monster truck game - woot wooo
