Check out this crash from the Winston 500. The drivers front end gets just high enough off the ground after a turn it sends him airborne and crashing down the straightaway.

this: is old as hell there have been plenty of better wrecks like clint bowyer or elliot sadler doin the same exact thing plus the irl cars have way better wrecks than stock cars

  @wtfman32not really: If you wan't to play fallow the leader for an hour, race F1. if you wan't side by side racing at high speeds for 4 hours. race nascar. or if you wan't to watch Louis Hamoltin win every event, Watch F1. if you wan't to see a diffrent winner every week, watch nascar. if you like to see a computer race a car with a person inside of it, watch F1. if you wan't to see people drive stock cars with no assists at all, wathc nascar. F1 is cool don't get me wrong, but Nascar is better.

  @wtfman32just a though..: but isn't F1 full of electronics that basically adjust the car and help the drivers to the extent that the driver is really just a guy in the car watching telemetry. F1 of the 1980s might have interesting, but today it's like watching people play video games.

if you guys are discussing nascar on tv...: espn stands for entertainment sports programming network. so the argument that nascar is a sport doesn't exactly work there. i will say that it is a motorsport, but not an actual, completely physical, not relying on machines, sport.

ha ok: just cuz ur job sucks doesnt mean your shit dont stink....we each have our own opions but yeah ur job sucks (by the sounds of it) and sure why the hell not u can be considered an athlete then in ur own little world but u wont make as much money as those who really are athletes...wouldnt get to bent out of shape there buddy....but once again, ur job is competitive? your job is skill? i drive semi i know all about backing up long trailers....but u get in the car and u do half the shit they do....

hendu88 (continued): the pit crews. They are the only ones that show any level of physical exertion and/or skill. The trailer that I unload (By hand 10 hrs a day) has a fiberglass roof and here in florida, the temp gets over 140 in that fuckin sweat box. And as far as being governed by rules, we have the D.O.T That does that. So there YOU have it. Truck drivers are bigger "athletes" thatn "NASCAR" pussies!

well: i think this says it all: Sport: An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively In racing there is: Skill, some physical activity (pit crews, and u drive in a car for hours that gets up to over 120 degrees, there is rules, and you try to tell me that racing isnt competitive.....so shut the fuck up... also i do believe racing makes sports center....(hence the name)
