that is a real jet pack that will be sold sometime in 2010 for around $200,000 there's two other companies making jet packs too and it's powered by JetA fuel not water

@ladylividityHave experimented with a hydroxy generator that makes hydrogen from water and an oxidizer. I am sure that he used a very similar process to power his jet pack. "Yes, Virginia" it is possible, and most likely probable in this case.

Holy god. Seriously, the description wasn't even close to the truth. One, it's not a sixteen year old, and two, it's not powered by friggin water. Jesus Christ.

    • Stu_Padaso

      Stu_Padaso - 3 years ago

@oblivion2mcThe two guys lifting it are composed of mostly water so it is in fact powered by water

Ok Break, enough is enough: Normally I just shake my head at the obviously wrong descriptions, but this one was just too much. Not even close to right.

16-year old?: This is Mark Wilson, of Gizmodo, who is at least 25 years old. Also, there is no water involved in this at all. Don't write if you've got nothing to say. Also, here's the link where I got my info: http://gizmodo.com/5032472/how

It could be water.: It's quite possible. A normal unleaded gasoline engine can run off of hydrogen gasses. Those can be produced by electrolosis with water to produce diatonic and monotonic hydrogen gas. Those gasses are much more powerful than unleaded gasoline.

It runs off: Standatd av gas you dumbasses at break. Uses ducted props instead of jet engine, because jet engines use too much fuel and you'll only get a few minutes of flight time. He has a 5 gallon tank and gets 30 minutes of flight tme using ducted props. Pretty cool, but no water used to power it. Leave it to the break guys to look like total dumbasses with a simple caption.
