This is a video demo of a 13.4 GIGAPIXEL photo of Harlem. No matter where you zoom in, it's always crystal clear. It can clearly depict a person's face 20 miles away. I wonder how long itll be they start selling digital cameras with 13.4 gigapixels.

@Bossesbossif you are moron, lots of things are 'impossible' this is totally possible. Probably just multiple pictures and a badass program.

13.4 gigapixel: my ass, the telescopes on sattelites only get like 360 megapixel...

    • Azlodan

      Azlodan - a year ago

@MidgetDaabThe pixel count is how many photons the camera can process not how far in it can zoom. The telescopes aren't amazing for their pixel count but rather for their ability to see far far distances.

    • cjm2164

      cjm2164 - a year ago

@MidgetDaabits not one pic. it is a lot of pics. adds up to 14 gp

@the pixel count is not the photons. a picture would look like $}{it with that many pixels because of the s/n ratio. too much static even with gain offset.

Freaking morons: The camera is NOT this high a resolution. The IMAGE is. And you cannot "clearly depict a person's face 20 miles away". What bull.

not impossible: its 2045 pictures taken with a 12 megapixel camera all stitched together with software and an equation is built in moving the camera down a certain number of degrees and over a certain number

    • SuckMyFist

      SuckMyFist - 3 years ago

@kalvaOmg -.-: its not a 12 MEGApixel camera, i have a 5 megapixel camera on my cellphone, this is GIGA pixel and its 13 thousand or 13 hundred megapixel...

    • BovinePimp

      BovinePimp - 3 years ago

@kalvasuckmyfist: suck some balls. Read what he said, moron. Its an assload of 12 megapixel pictures glued together. you asshat.

    • weezilla

      weezilla - 3 years ago

@kalvaactually..: It is a 12 megapixel camera. The pictures are stitched and overlayed. Overlaying them allows interpolation of pixels and further accuracy of what the picture actually is. Now... time to download the 48.8gb panorama and use it as my ubuntu skyline.

hmm: they won't goning to sell cameras with 13,4 MP it's physical impossible to take a picture in this resolution at once. In this case they have stitched the picture out of high resolution telepicture (long focallenght) and made a Wideangle shoot out of it.

    • iamtheraven

      iamtheraven - 2 years ago

@graf85Image stitching: Yeah, and if you look closely at some parts, you can see where the image stitching didn't work quite right.
