this isnt taekwondo. they dont use fists to hit their opponent like that. Its some japanese thing.

@jaedubClearly you know nothing about TKD. The name means "Foot Hand Way". Hand techniques are often the first ones taught because they are easier for beginners to learn..

On the other hand, ITF fighters dont use those fishbowls for helmets. Style looks distinktly taekwondo-ish. If it is knockdown karate both are noobs for focusing on those high flashy kicks.

Might be daido juku, stranger things have happened. They usually dont wear vests though. I think it looks like ITF taekwondo. There are two styles you know.

    • SlrmanJim

      SlrmanJim - 17 days ago

@ABCCAB123There are many more than two styles, and better protective equipment is rapidly being accept by most organizations. When I started, the equipment was crude and not often used.

def not tae kwon do. tae doesnt practice hitting to the face.

    • SlrmanJim

      SlrmanJim - 17 days ago

@AustiNis1337Not true at all. TKD teaches strikes to all parts of the body. If course, I've only been practicing it for nearly 40 years, so what do I know?

Looks like the guy had a seizure, the camera man says "He's shaking..." and they roll him on to his side, that's what you do when someone seizes.

@KharosIt's a tournament, so there are rules. Real fighting has only one rule survive.

A red belt vs. a white belt? I'm not sure what the story is here, but nevertheless belts only hold your gi closed. It's obvious this guy's aggressive approach worked, though it looked like less of a knee and more of a lucky timed kick that missed.

    • Frostyfrog

      Frostyfrog - 2 years ago

@MartialArts4LifeYeah thats complete nonesense, in all my time in tae kwon doe ive never seen someone just try to punch the guy a ton. I prolly would have done better if I had done the same.

@MartialArts4LifeI think the belts are there only to denote which person gets a point. "Point - red!" "Point - white"

i thought martial arts was supposed to be about control and style. This just looked like 2 tards blindly swinging at each other...

    • msuwo

      msuwo - 3 years ago

@jacketlessyou're right.. im kind of embarrassed for these two, especially the big guy. all he does is run into the guy and push him over while flailing like a highschooler

    • AlMumit

      AlMumit - 2 years ago

@jacketlessnot really, TaeKwonDo is not all about style and control. Its is teaches you to know how to use you kicks not only as offense but in defense too but mostly to plain out knock the hell out of some one. TKD is very effective if you are put alot of hardwork into training.

When I was in Taekwondo there were no red belts. White then yellow then green then blue then first brown then second brown then black then the degrees of black

    • NightF0x

      NightF0x - 3 years ago

@robmistyOur dojo used red in place of brown then a half red/half black then degrees of black...just depends on where you went. This was back in the late 80's.

@robmistyDamn ours is crazy. We got White, Yellow, Green, Sr. Green, Purple, Sr. P, Blue, Sr. B, Brown, Sr. Br, Red, Sr. R, Probationary Black Belt, then 1st Dan. All of that takes at the least of 2-3 years.

Red belt had a pretty nice kick to the head in the second round, but it didn't land hard enough. Looked good tho...

  • lordofcows911

    lordofcows911 - 3 years ago

its not taekwondo because theres some faggy facemask...and in taekwondo your not allowed to punch to the face...and the guy who is getting his ass kicked is a higher ranked belt, hes just shitty. the other guy is a white belt, and would be the novice

  • Sugarshaun

    Sugarshaun - 3 years ago

The guy that does the knocking out is definetly not a "veteran," considering he's a white belt and the other guy is red belt. Why does Break feel like they need to spruce up the info with unimportant, incorrect description. its a guy getting knocked out, nuff said!

  • kiwikid

    kiwikid - 3 years ago

This is not Olympic Tae Kwon Do, and most likely is a derivative of karate. Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do rules are the same as those with the United States Tae Kwon Do Union (USTU) where the fight doesn't stop until either the round is over, injury, or knock out. Now there are other orgranizations claiming to be Tae Kwon Do, but are really just karate such as USTA.

im pretty sure that guy is not a veteran. it looks like he is wearing a white belt. and if im not mistaking the other guy has a red belt on which is higher than white. i might be wrong.
