Here is video of the SRV in action showing the hydraulics lowering the frame as we would in strong winds, and the probe deployment as if we were in the path of the tornado. We decided to go with the name SRV because we were not big fans of the name "Dominator", and plan to collect vertical wind data from tornadoes, wall clouds, supercell updrafts, hurricane eyewalls, etc. (hence the inclusion of Storm in the acronym). These have got to be the four luckiest guys I have ever seen. An IED explodes directly underneath their vehicle which in turn causes their vehicle to explode and all four guys walk away apparently only inconvenienced.
