The locust are in the Eastern KY hills. The noise is getting pretty damn irritating. At first I thought it was wind in the trees. They hush at dusk, then start up again at dawn. This has been going on for a week now. Soon they will move down the hills and into our yards. They stay for about 6 weeks, and return in 17 years.
