It takes place on the day of the invasion. It follows the character of the crusader who is a skrull that has chosen to betray his people and live his life as a human. It is an interesting back story for the character and a pretty compelling look at the decision of where to put his loyalty but like most of the Secret Invasion tie ins it is pretty insignificant. They also make it look in the end of the book that the earthlings are starting to win the fight when we know from the other books that the opposite was true and Nick Fury had to show up and get a bunch of people out of there to regroup. The only cross over that I’ve found to be worth while and really necessary to the story is the New Avengers book because it actually has a unique story that is moving forward.
