This video shows my process for making an illustration (non tradigital). I use illustration markers (usually prismacolor) and color pencils (usually prisma once again) and a wax blending stick. I make my illustrations in two steps. Step 1- I observe my reference drawings or photos and try to see what lies beneath. There is no way to blend markers in the same way that one can blend paint (ironically even with a marker blender) so I lie down the base tones with markers (the first layer). Step 2- Is created with color pencils. Color pencils are mixable / blendable and I mix the color pencils directly above my marker drawing. I use the wax stick to finish the surface and tie everything together. - Merrill Kazanjian Achromatic- Black, white and greys. Artwork that is executed without color. Acrylic- Thicker and stronger than tempera or watercolor paint, Acrylic is a water-based "plastic" paint. Albumen Print- This printing process is used in photography printing processes. Egg whites are used in the emulsion. Alte

Anchored Submitted by Lindsey Olivares Pencilman #3: MC Hammered Submitted by Ross Bollinger Shes the Man Submitted by Scott Coello Hey Fredheads! So after a day of rememberance and barbeque, dont you dare think we forgot about you cartoon-lovers! Were kicking off the summer with a cartoon about being stuck, literally and literarily in "Anchored." Second, we have the third episode of Pencilmation, and the adventures of a monster at the mercy of a pencil. Wrapping it all up in a tidy little bow is a British Invasion of headbangin rock music with a decidedly...confused...taint to it.The robot is taking your calls about Memorial Day and loves you all very much. Call him and tell him how youre going to spend your summers! Wait until you see how hes spending his. 888-414-8148
