WORLD DEBUTS AND CHINESE AUTOMAKERS LEAD PLANS FOR 2009 NAIAS The North American International Auto Show will open its doors in less than 30 days and plans continue to build excitement and anticipation for this flagship event in the automotive industry. On Jan 11th global eyes will turn to Detroit as the press days open the show with 44 product unveilings, up from 41 at this date in 2008. "Detroit will soon be welcoming more than 6,000 national and international media to the 2009 NAIAS," said Joe Serra, co-chair for the 2009 NAIAS. "While the automotive industry is in the midst of an obvious time of adjustment, the interest in the future of cars has only increased.
