She was being scratched right above her tail. I know you can't see it because she was behind a column. This is probably why you should leave animals alone when they're eating. Okay okay, so they were actually really docile. But they were pretty crazy. Please note that none of the squirrels were harmed, and as far as we know, none of them have been harmed or relocated. The keeper of the rest stop we were at is aware and totally okay with people 'visiting' the squirrels, or we would have not gotten near them.
