When the egg is first cracked, there is a thin membrane that is visible. This would be considered the "sac" where the duckling is.

When the membrane is broken, there is a liquid inside that you can drink. It is pretty sweet. Most people add a pinch of salt and pepper before they drink the juice to enhance the flavor.
When the membrane is removed and the egg is cracked even more, everything is pretty much visible. You can see the little duckling fetus (left) and the yolk on the right.
