The piston rod broke a nice-sized hole trough this 1974 8hp Tecumseh. See vid entitled "Tecumseh 8hp Crank Case". I repaired the broken rod w/replacement and patched the whole w/aluminum.

Was very cool to patch this hole though. My Dad said it could be done, whereas a couple of my Buds said NOGO. Thanks Dad!
Broken caused by revving too high. The rod came right through the mid section of the crank case.
