My name is Monica Maness, I am 15 years old and had scoliosis surgery in October 2007. Doctors put titanium rods on each side of my spine. I made this video to document the surgery and my recovery. I was diagnosed in October of 2006, my curvature was over 50 degrees. I had my syrgery at the Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport, La. I live in Creel, Chihuahua, Mexico with my family.
