This was a crazy storm. Baseball size hail reported just north of the city and the lightning was menacing. There is a video that goes with this picture hat you can find on my first resume video.

Video of destructive hail to the size of baseballs near the town of Henrietta, TX from TornadoVideos.net storm chasers. Surprisingly, this supercell never had a tornado warning, but exhibited strong rotation on radar. The largest hail report from this storm was 4.25 inches!
Here is video of the SRV in action showing the hydraulics lowering the frame as we would in strong winds, and the probe deployment as if we were in the path of the tornado. We decided to go with the name SRV because we were not big fans of the name "Dominator", and plan to collect vertical wind data from tornadoes, wall clouds, supercell updrafts, hurricane eyewalls, etc. (hence the inclusion of Storm in the acronym).
