I have to say right off the bat, did you see what did there, right off the bat that I was absolutely shocked by how this story ended up. First off I have to apt myself on the back here and point out that I was right and that it was Two Face trying to kill her and save her. Great story telling and an awesome choice by the writers. I can't believe that Nightwing failed especially with all of the damage he took. Dude and then Harvey's freak out when he found Nightwing failed. I'm not sure which personality is more vicious. We've all seen what Two Face is capable of, now we're going to see what Harvey can do. There is going to be some serious carnage. Two face has got to be loving this. He gets to sit back and watch the "good" personality reek havoc. I guess when flips the coin it won't be to decide whether his victim lives ...

This is a good story and a positive turn for the Nightwing title. It gets him back on the streets where he belongs, dealing with criminals and not mad scientists. So, in this one Two Face has contacted Nightwing and asked him to watch over a DA that was a friend of his back in the Harvey Dent days. There are a couple of attempts on the woman’s life and some daring rescues that all make for great action and some sweet panels. She is testifying, Harvey tells us, against a quote un quote powerful individual and could destabilize some people who would rather remain stable, but we don’t know who. What I’m waiting for, is this guy to be Two Face. It plays perfectly into his duality and the stories we usually witness. It is a great twist, even if it is an obvious one, and would really add some meat to Two Face’s psychosis. Even ...

It is getting a little crazy, kind of like Batman himself. One thing that I have enjoyed about this is the continuity between the other books, until we got to the part with Nightwing on the table waiting to be lobotomized. I understand that the Nightwing title has to keep moving but it would have been cool to see how he was captured and a little bit more of that story in his individual title. With that being said the joker is still scary and is great in this title. I still am not sure exactly what is going on with the plot but it is still holding my interest. I'm not sure exactly who the woman was or what was going on with the flower petals but I love that chaos and mystery because it is keeping me interested in the story. This story arch is so good. We’ve got action and intrigue and detective work. This is a great story and it is really showcasing everything that makes Robin great. He’s strategizing and playing the game. I wasn’t sure last issue why they were showing us the part of 52 when Batman goes into the cave except to show us where Batman’s craziness may have begun but a new reason appeared this issue. Robin is telling us when he dropped the boy wonder title and became his own man. He developed the new suit, became a bit darker and started to develop intimidation as one of his weapons. In a way, working with Nightwing and no Batman around he started imagine the scenario that is now unfolding in front of him, of a Gotham without Batman. There is a line where Robin really shows who he is becoming when Officer Harper asks if an out ...
First we look at Secret Invasion X-Men #1. The guys love the artwork, but think that there were some missed opportunities in the story. Next is Supergirl #32. Justin likes the completion of this recent story arc. Alex thinks this is the best Supergirl has been in her current incarnation. Then we look at Fantastic Four #559. Don't miss the guys riff on a classic Foreigner song "Feels like the First Time". During the Speed Round we check out Army @ Love: The Art of War #1, Nightwing #147, Fathom #1, Patsy Walker: Hellcat #2, and Hawkman Special #1. He is covering the entire city, taking on the gangs and trying to find Batman. Fabian Nicieza is really doing a good job of capturing the essence of the Robin character. It’s been a long time since anyone has but he really gets this character. The best part of the book was when Robin and Nightwing crossed paths in the Bat Cave and Tim was like need help with the two face thing and Dick says nope need help with the gangs and Tim said nope. It showed continuity as well as how much Tim has grown in that he can handle the city by himself. I still haven’t figured out what Stephanie’s role is in all of this and why she wants Tim dead, if that really is Stephanie in the Spoiler costume. If she is dead again I’m going to be really disappointed. RIP is a great story and I love what it is doing to the members of the ...

It’s sharing time here on shazap, and I’m going to tell you a story about when it all began for me and comics. When I got back into comics in my adult life NYX was one of the first series that I started reading and definitely the one that drew me into the people on the pages. It showed me the other side of comics that involves the connection you can make with the characters. I was sad to see it go and absolutely thrilled that here five plus years later I’m getting to revisit my old friends for another exciting adventure. Marjorie Liu did a great job of staying true to the characters Joe Quesada brought to life and beginning to tell a great story with them. All the usual questions have been raised like who is this mystery villain and what does he have against our little family? I’m just really glad this series is back ...

Alright this is the best one so far. From the Ultimate X-men book we know that Charles Xavior and Magneto had a thing in the Savage Land and Magneto drove a spear through his spine when he tried to leave but this is the first showing of how they got there. It is continuing to draw connections between the mutant world as we find out that it was Magneto’s parents that were experimenting on Wolverine. One thing that I don’t understand though so help me out if you can is that the last book gave me the impression that the scientists created the first mutant in wolverine. How then is their son a mutant and why did his dad freak out. That doesn’t really make sense to me but Bendis doesn’t always like to fully explain things until he has too. The little red seeing eye thing is flat out creepy and I’m not sure I even want to know ...

Just like the last issue, while it bears the RIP mark it is pretty far from the other books and time line wise takes place well before it. Like I said before the parallels with the original Hush story are showing again, for instance Catwoman still has a thing for Batman and is thinking about making it known. I like the history about Bruce and Tommy for what it shows us about Tommy more than how it represents Batman. I think the less that we know about Bruce Wayne before his parents died the better. It only tarnishes what he has become. Tommy however is vindictive, evil kid who grew up to become a bad ass villain. In the last issue we hear him talk about his mentor and when it is revealed in this issue it makes so much sense and just makes Hush that much scarier. This series is flat out bad ass.? The rag tag batman that we saw at the end of the last issue is actually an alter ego that Batman created in himself to defend against psychological attack.? Seriously, I mean it?s a little bit of a stretch but is it really that surprising considering who we?re talking about?? I like that they are tying in the other titles so closely, by picking up the Robin fight where his solo title left off, but what was Dr Axe doing in Archam with a Nightwing mask?? At the end of the last Nightwing, Dick was on a rooftop severely injured, did the Black glove pick him up, and if so is he the new patient that they are prepping for the lobotomy??
