To help, Barefoot Wine, along with partner the Surfrider Foundation renewed and restored 25 beaches coast to coast as part of the third annual Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project. Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches and is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The Beach Rescue Concert was a celebration of this milestone and the 25 days of beach cleanups. The final cleanup of the season took place in Asbury Park on August 29, 2009. Musicians Joss Stone, Gavin DeGraw, Cold War Kids and Mason Jennings performed for beach-loving volunteers at a free celebratory concert at legendary Asbury Park.
