Here is a video clip of the weekly saturday protest in Iceland. Still demanding responsabilty by the banking industry and the goverment. Elections and change of the goverment and CEO at the Icelandic Central Bank. Today there where a few Germans at the protest in Reykjavik. THey are trying to talk to Kaupthing Bank ,about their savings,that they had in Kaupthing Bank in Germany. So the protest in ICeland is going International. It is very cold in Reykjavik ,just below zero on ht ecelcius scale ,and windy. One central bank CEO ( there are three CEO at the central bank ) has resigned his post there. David Oddson ,the head of the central bank and former prime minister,has not yet,answered the letter that Johanna,Icelands prime minister,sent him,asking him to resign. She wanted an answer by last thursday,but he has not yet answered her letter. Protests are planned next monday at the Central Bank.

Last weekend ,in Isafjord ,a town in the westfjords in Iceland,they held the annual Mud Soccer Tournement. And a new rule - if you did something bad - then you would have to where a black bag for two minutes during the game --And you can see that in this clip - and the guy getting the bag - his name is Viking Vikingsson -- and his team lost And they had the famous Icelandic heatwave.about 65 -70 degrees on the fareinheit .That is HOT.It was great fun and everybody had a great time .This is always in the first weekend in august.Few hundred took part in the tournement and few thousand watched .They have a web page http://myrarbolti.com/index.asp?lang=en

Last saturday -After the peacful protest today in Reykjavik - against the govermnet and banks - people where told to go to the head police station in Reykjavik and demand the release of one prisoner. The guy who hanged the Bonus flag on the Parliemnet building the protest a few saturdays ago. He was arrested when he was on a university science trip . He got known and the police arrested him., He had a fine or prison sentence on him since he as protesting the Karahnjukur damn project. People attacke the police station tonight and broke windows and the front door. Then they where peppersprayed and the police got the out - and stood outside in full riot gear . People threw eggs at the police. And a couple of hours later - the prisoner was let go . A unknown man payed his fine - and told the guy in prison ,that if he would not accept that he payed the fine - then people would get hurt. The guy accepted - and told people outside - that next - it would be revolution.

Protesters fighting police in Reykjavik
People went to Arnarholl ,the hill between the govermnet house and the Central bank. There protest speaches where held ,and still demanding the ressignation of the goverment ,and the Central Bank managers. After the protest was over ,people went to the central bank ,and tried to get in . To do what ,i dont know. Police tried to stop the protesters. Protesters got into the lobby,but there big glass doors where shut,and police where in front of the door. But later the Police left,and the people got into the inner lobby,and another glass door -and behind that door,was riot police ready. Protesters tried to get the Police to help them . The central bank was under siege for about one and a half hours. Protesters used eggs and paint at the building. Police warned the protesters ,that they would use pepperspray. But in the end ,the Police informed the protesters ,that mr: David Oddsson ,the ceo of the central bank,was not in the building.
