A sacred Japanese Shinto ritual looks more like good ole fashion horseplay as halfnaked guys sling mud and wrestle in a muddy pond. The catch is that the event takes place in February. Mud is seen as lucky because if you have mud, you can grow rice. I have yet to find the female version of this unfortunately.
