Orangutans and bonobos are given the choice of whether they want to paint as an enrichment activity. Offering captive apes a variety of enrichment activities, including those that challenge their cognitive abilities, like painting, is an important ape welfare issue. Enrichment is not viewed as a separate activity for Great Ape Trust’s orangutans and bonobos, but rather a philosophy of daily management and research.

Despite my better judgment I continue to read this book. I'd rather not admit it but I am actually starting to enjoy it. It is an interesting else world story that has made some interesting reading. I hate to admit it but I am actually starting to feel connected to the characters and I'm feeling a little sorry for Ape X, he's a good guy and is starting to get pulled into the a situation that he knows nothing about. The actions is starting to heat up and the prospect of Captain America vs Vampire Captain America actually has me a little excited about the next issue. I guess this week I was lucky that there was such a small selection on the shelf. Dude on your light weeks this is actually worth picking up. Don't worry about the earlier issues you aren't missing much and this is where it all gets started. Distributed by Tubemogul.

This book just went from weird to ridiculous. Not only do we have ape versions of the marvel heroes, but now some of them are vampires that want to invade our universe to drink our blood. I mean come on. This book inspired the biggest groan and rolling of the eyes that I have ever experienced in reading comics. The only thing that I did like about this book is when Gibbon was talking with the ape version of Speedball and he was asking about his human self. Gibbon couldn’t bring himself to tell him about how he killed 600 kids and started the civil war and is probably the most hated hero in the Marvel U. I wonder how we would have taken it if Gibbon had told him the truth. That conversation would have been more interesting than this whole story. Distributed by Tubemogul.
