An investment is a way to watch your money grow. You allocate a small amount of money to a project-- yours or someone else's-- with the hope that that money will be converted into more money, a new project, or some other goal. It's great when that conversion happens. Sometimes, the investment goes the other way. That's the painful reality of investments. The potential to move on up is balanced out by the potential to have to move into your mother's basement.
