  THIS IS THE FUTURE of crap. Video games that make you constantly pay over and over for their content. One simple inflated purchase isn't enough, they will bleed you for every dime you have. Soon all games will be like world of warcraft just to PLAY them. This is crap. COD sucks, it is for kids, black ops was better and anyone with have a f'n clue should be playing BATTLEFIELD like a real gamer. Rant over.

    @Paul_UK78EA did something along the lines of the samething you buy the game used and you have to pay for a new activation code for online play, ontop of that elite isnt a must have service and isnt released for pc whos taking whos money here im in no way a cod fanboy but its bs that EA pulled a stunt like that

    @Netaliusnot only does BF3 charge you for all of your content which if i read infinitywards site right they say they are releasing 70 dollars in maps that if you get elite you get for free but if you buy a used copy of BF3 you get charged to play it online whos money hungry here?

Battlefield charges just like every other game, and to say that THIS is the future of crap, they are BY FAR not the first to charge for DLCs/expansions. Top comment my ass, this guy is a moron.

    @NetaliusThe reason that games are so expensive now is because they are by far better than anyone could have thought gaming was going to be even just 10 years ago. I myself would gladly pay one flat yearly fee for Elite and get all the maps (on a free playstation network) than pay for online gaming on X-Box and then have to pay more for Elite...If it is too much money than dont buy video games...that is all.

    @NetaliusSorry it took me so long to reply. Let me amend my initial statements with vigor. I suppose I will reply to all of you in order. @ tijeune: If Battlefield is now (and I know it has been a long time) charging for bonus content than I used a poor example. I am wrong there. (sad to hear it). @Michael-Benner-697 same thing. @jabber86 I used the wrong wording, Black ops WAS better but saying COD sucks got u stuck in semantics.

    @Netalius@jabber86 continued. If Battlefield is doing the same thing than they are just as guilty, my bad on using a poor example. Apparently companies can't help themselves anymore. And YES this is the future of crap because ANY REAL gamer NEEDS and WANTS all playable material before him once he engages into a game. THAT is simply what a 'gamer' is. You noobs don't get that I guess. The industry has a long standing reputation for giving bonus content for free.

    @NetaliusBut that is not the case now is it? Profits MUST BE MAXIMIZED and you fool kids are more than willing to follow the new lead. I AM a game designer, making new maps and textures with beta testing for balance doesn't even come CLOSE to the costs you wish your idiot purchase was worth. What happened to gaming? Did everyone just suddenly get stupid? Or did the industry realize idiot kids are a larger market? I answered my own question.
