Woman Calls 911 For Emergency Pizza, But Not For Reasons You’d Assume

We’ve heard that story a million times how someone was so drunk and needed food so badly, they call 911 in hopes of someone bringing it to them. Well this is not that story.

Posted on Reddit by a 911 operator, the story is they received a call from a woman looking to order a half pepperoni, half peppers and mushroom pizza. What the operator wasn’t expecting was the fact that the caller didn’t actually want a pizza at all.

Here’s the transcript:

911, where is your emergency?

123 Main St.

Ok, what’s going on there?

I’d like to order a pizza for delivery.”(oh great, another prank call).

Ma’am, you’ve reached 911.

Yeah, I know. Can I have a large with half pepperoni, half mushroom and peppers?

Ummm…. I’m sorry, you know you’ve called 911 right?

Yeah, do you know how long it will be?

Ok, Ma’am, is everything ok over there? do you have an emergency?

Yes, I do.

…And you can’t talk about it because there’s someone in the room with you? (moment of realisation)

Yes, that’s correct. Do you know how long it will be?

I have an officer about a mile from your location. Are there any weapons in your house?

Can you stay on the phone with me?

Nope. See you soon, thanks.

The dispatcher then looked up the history of the address and realized that there was a history of domestic violence on file. The operator recalls “‘I thought she was pretty clever to use that trick. Definitely one of the most memorable calls.” No word what happened after the police had arrived, but let’s hope it had all worked out for the better.
