This Study Reveals Porn Viewers Are More Likely To Respect Women Than Most

In a plot twist to end all plot twists, you are officially NOT a dirtbag for watching porn. At least most of you aren't, as a study has recently revealed from the Journal of Sex Research.

The study shows that fans and viewers of pornography are more likely to actually respect and see women as equals than someone that shuns porn from their weekly routine. Okay, daily routine, let's keep things honest here. Of course this respect isn't limited to just pornstars in general but females overall.

The big argument since the beginning of time has been that pornography is demeaning to women but a lot of people have taken the opposite stance in that it's actually empowering women. Sure, some pornography can be degrading but most of it shows the female in charge...and that's a good thing.

23% of the people involved in the study admitted to having watched pornography within the past 12 months. Those people ALSO had positive views on women working outside of the house, supported pro-choice and also supported women with political power than anyone who said they hadn't watched porn within the past year. People actually frown on women working outside of the home still? Good Lord.

The biggest positive to all of this is it contrasts the popular feminist claim that viewing porn contributes to an overall negative view of women, which as the study shows, just isn't true. And when you think about it, seems about right. If you hated women, the last thing you'd probably be into watching is, well, videos of women, and especially porn. Usually those folks take that energy out on purchasing a new Bible or something I guess.

Long story short, we raise our glasses to the women of the world. This one's for you.

With that said, this doesn't mean you should do nothing but watch porn all day. Go find some flesh and bones to talk to and give that respect to someone in person.
