We've reported any new news that would come up after Tracy Morgan's horrendous car collision on the New Jersey Turnpike patiently waiting for some type of announcement that will bring him back into comdy's good graces. Well today is the day we've all been waiting for: Tracy Morgan will triumphantly return to host Saturday Night Live. Start the slow clap now. Morgan will head back to the studio that introduced America to Morgan's talent for "gettin' everyone pregnant" on October 17th and frankly we think this is the best news we'll hear all week.
After settling out of court with Wal-Mart and telling The Today Show he wasn't quite 100% yet, we weren't sure when Morgan would ever perform again. I thought he might do a couple of unannounced underground stand up shows or maybe even just an SNL cameo one night, so it's pretty exciting he's shooting straight to the top as Host of Saturday Night Live.
No word yet what his show will entail or if (hopefully) he'll be bringing back Brian Fellows, Astronaut Jones or the "Doo-Doo Pie" homeless guy but I sincerely doubt they'll leave those characters to waste. But then again, if you kick Death in the nuts and send him back to the afterlife, you can do whatever the hell you want.
Miley Cyrus will kick off the new season's premiere episode with Amy Schumer on the following weekend before Morgan's appearance on October 17th.
Who's excited?! Not about Cyrus or Schumer but about Morgan. Always Morgan.
