A tiny rescue kitten who was found paralyzed in both of his hind legs has received an adorable new mode of transportation.
Mac the kitten was discovered on a dark street on Long Island and taken to the nearby Massapequa Pet Vet, where the staff realized he could barely walk unassisted.
However, Mac was fortunate to have made it to the hands of people who desperately wanted to help. “Some of our very dedicated technicians went digging through old toys they had and made him a make-shift wheelchair that allows him to finally run,” Massapequa Pet Vet posted on its Facebook page along with the above video. “We love this little guy and can't wait to see what the future holds for him.”
In the minute-long clip, Mac can be seen getting his bearings with the new mobility device. He immediately takes off running but has some trouble navigating.
When an employee picks him up, Mac looks eager to explore and immediately sprints off as soon as he touches the ground. While the wheelchair seems to be a hit with Mac, it will hopefully only serve as a temporary solution.
“He does have feeling in his hind end which is a good sign and we hope to rehabilitate, treat and eventually find him a good home,” Massapequa Pet Vet wrote.
