Terror In Oklahoma: Tornadoes Rip Through State (Vid & Pics)

Mark-Potts by Mark-Potts on May. 20, 2013

Over the last few days, tornadoes have gone through the Midwest, hitting Oklahoma the hardest. Today's tornadoes were the worst, causing massive damage to Moore, OK, a town just south of Oklahoma City. Our thoughts and prayers are with the those affected and the first responders.

To help, please visit the Red Cross.

Sat here in OKC and watched this go down. The people of this town are tough and we will overcome this like we have so many times in the past. I am however moving to Montana...

you also need to understand they are recording from miles away so they are not sucked into the storm and use different filters that cause a grainy picture so they can actually see the funnel in the storm which is more important than having an overall clear picture. They are chasing these storms to save lives not for your entertainment at home

I live in Oklahoma I watched this live and it was in HD. Who ever edited the video use a lesser quality for this time lapse

Hundreds of people just lost their homes, possessions, (possibly) loved ones and you're worried about the video quality? Seriously??? It's from a remotely controlled camera slung under the belly of an aircraft. If you have an affordable weather-proof camera with the same capabilities and better quality images then STFU and market it.

I grew up there. When I was little my mother swore she saw one. I think she was high.

This thing ran a path almost on top of the 1999 tornado, a little over a mile to the south.

Mark and I, your Break editors, are also from Oklahoma. I was in college in Norman, Ok., just outside Moore when Moore got devastated in 1999. This is awful, but I know Okies are strong and will use their strength to hold each other up and see this through.
