Woman Accidentally Shoots Herself In The Head While Taking A Selfie

People should really exercise extreme caution when trying to come up with creative selfies – especially if they involve firearms. A Russian woman recently posed for a selfie with a loaded 9 mm handgun at her head and ended up accidentally pulling the trigger and shooting herself in the temple. Obviously, this is not a good thing.

The unnamed 21-year-old office worker allegedly got hold of a gun that a security guard left behind after he went on vacation. She probably thought that it would be fun and harmless to snap a photo of herself with it, but ended up doing some serious damage. Since the incident, she was hospitalized and it is reported that she is in serious condition. Thank God she's not dead.

Let this be a lesson of common sense to everyone of the selfie generation: stop trying to take death-defying selfies to populate your Instagram account. The next time you think it will be a good idea to threaten your life by taking a selfie just so you can be a trending on social media, think long and hard about it. Then just take a regular, duck-faced selfie. As obnoxious as they are, it's safe and it won't land you in the hospital.
