South Africa Park Rangers Rescue Baby Elephant From Drowning in Water Hole
A baby elephant who got stuck in a watering hole was lifted out by park rangers who risked being killed by the elephant’s mother. Visitors to the Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa saw a herd of elephants desperately trying to pull their baby out of the water. After a few attempts to break the steep bank failed, two VERY BRAVE park rangers risked their lives and jumped into the water to heave the drowning elephant calf out on to the bank. He got out safely and the mother didn’t kill them for touching her baby, YAY! Can this be the plot to Dumbo III, please?!
Woman Uses Lottery Winnings To Buy Homeless Man a Motel Room on a Sub Zero Temperature Night
Sofia Andrade had just won $200 on a scratch ticket and was at a stop sign in New Bedford when she saw a homeless man named Glenn Williams. She called him over to her car and took him to a coffee shop. “He was so overwhelmed by just the generosity of a coffee that he just couldn’t stop crying.” As they spoke at the coffee shop, she learned that local shelters had no bed space for Williams, so she decided to use her lottery winnings to get a motel room for him close to her home in Wareham. Now where’s all that Powerball money been going around…
Canadian Man Saves 20 Puppies From Coyotes
A hunter named Greg Zubiak last week rescued 20 abandoned puppies found in boxes and left for dead. He found the puppies in a Canadian field, where the humane society suspects they were left as bait for coyotes. Thanks to this hunter finding them in time, all of the puppies are going to be okay! The only thing that would make this story better is if we also found out that the coyotes ate the monster-of-a-human who would do this, but sadly we can’t confirm that.
